A.J. Cohen Campus Fire Safety Program
Cincinnati- As summer approaches, the A.J. Cohen Campus Fire Safety Program begins preperations for the upcoming school year. Septemeber is fire awareness month and our award-winning fire safety program will be presented at various events around Greater Cincinnati. We are currently seeking area high schools interested in having our team of fire-safety professionals present the A.J. Cohen Campus Fire Safety Program this Fall. This program, backed by the Hamilton County Fire Chiefs Association, is a fire-safety presentation geared for high school juniors and seniors and their parents as they prepare for college visits. It addresses the rise in college campus fires, under-aged drinking which leads to many of these fires and other acts of irresponsibility often seen at colleges and universities. Our program features interviews with family members who have lost loved ones as well as a in-depth look at some of the fires that have occured around the country. "This isn't your stop, drop and roll program", says Barrett Cohen (brother of A.J.). "This program was designed for the high school kid who thinks he/she is invincible."
At present, the State of Ohio has one of the highest-ranking mortality rate of fire-related deaths among college students. A.J. is part of that shocking statistic and is the reason why this program and its expansion throughout Ohio are so important. Be proactive and call our Fire Safety Director today.
